Not all the computers with an afflicted client is having the issue, just some of them. I found that stopping and restarting the Spooler also temporarily fixes it - and is far less workflow disruptive that rebooting, obviously. Then after the user prints a job, the printer goes offline again. Restarting the PC temporarily fixes it - the printer comes back online. here: Starting mid-Oct I've received calls from probably 15 to 20 clients telling me their network-based printers are appearing as offline in Windows.
